Searchable Links Plugin for WordPress

screenshot-1Quick on the heels of my first WordPress plugin, Add Logo to Admin, comes a way more complicated plugin that took me quite a while to figure out. Once I actually get some sleep and take a look over it again I will probably put up some tidbits on how to make something like this actually work.

Anyhow, for now let’s just get to the plugin. It’s called Searchable Links and you can see it in action on Oddity Cinema, the site I had originally created the javascript that this plugin is based on.

What does it actually do?

It takes the values from a custom field and turns them into searchable links.

What is a searchable link?

A link that activates a search on your site and searched for the text in the link. Kind of like a tag but not a tag.

NOTE: I only tested this on WordPress 2.7.
